Control cables cover 2 to 48 cores in sizes from 0.5mm2 to 2.5mm2. Communication cables cover 1 to 37 pairs, 1 triple and 1 quad in sizes from 0.5mm2 to 2.5mm2.

Fire Performance Types

• Type SA: bunched cable flame retardant, complying with IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60332-3 Category A

• Type NA: fire resistant cable, complying with IEC 60332-1, IEC 60332-3 Category A, IEC 60331-1 and IEC 60331-2

• Type SC: halogen free low smoke bunched flame retardant cable, complying with IEC 60332-1, IEC 60332-3 Category A, IEC 60754-1/2 and IEC 61034

• Type NC: halogen free low smoke fire resistant cable, complying with IEC 60332-1, IEC 60332-3 Category A, IEC 60754-1/2, IEC 61034, IEC 60331-1 and IEC 60331-2

Application

This certificate applies to shipboard control, signal and instrumentation communication cables used on ABS classed vessels for control circuits, automation systems, instrumentation and communication networks. Screened CHJ types are suitable for interference sensitive signal transmission.
