Product Details

Anhui Tiankang designs and manufactures marine and offshore cables for new ship construction, retrofit projects and offshore installations. The range covers power, control, instrumentation and communication circuits used on deck, in engine rooms and on offshore platforms, where salt mist, vibration, mechanical impact and fire risk place far higher demands on a cable than standard industrial duty. Cables are produced against the IEC 60092 series and related IEC flame test standards, with classification society type approvals available for applicable types — please confirm the required approval for your project before ordering.

Product Overview

The Marine & Offshore range is grouped by circuit function:

  • Shipboard power cables — for main and auxiliary power distribution, typically 0.6/1kV (1.8/3kV on request), in single-core and multi-core constructions such as 3x25, 3x35+1x16, 3x50+1x25 or 4x35+1x16.

  • Shipboard control cables — multi-core 0.6/1kV cables for steering gear, winches, pumps and deck machinery control.

  • Instrumentation and signal cables — screened pairs and triples for monitoring, alarm and automation systems, with options for individual and collective screens.

  • Offshore duty variants — constructions prepared for mud, oil mist and enhanced mechanical protection on platforms and FPSO projects.

Conductors follow IEC 60228 class 2 (stranded) or class 5 (flexible) depending on application. Insulation and sheathing compounds are selected per installation area: flame-retardant compounds for general shipboard zones, and halogen-free, low-smoke materials for passenger vessel and enclosed spaces where smoke toxicity matters.

Key Features & Construction

  • Stranded copper conductor per IEC 60228 (class 2 or class 5)

  • Flame-retardant insulation system, halogen-free and low-smoke options available

  • Metallic or composite screen options for instrumentation and VFD-fed circuits

  • Oil-resistant, abrasion-resistant and UV-stable outer sheath options

  • Braid, tape or wire armour available for impact-prone deck runs

  • Operating temperature typically -20°C to +90°C depending on compound and approval

  • Cable marking with meter count, standard and manufacturer identification

Exact temperature class, flame test level and armour type are confirmed per item through the technical data sheet (TDS) for each type.

Standards & Certifications

Cables in this range are designed and tested against:

  • IEC 60092 series — electrical installations in ships

  • IEC 60332 — flame retardance (single wire and bunched)

  • IEC 60754 — halogen acid gas emission

  • IEC 61034 — smoke density

Type approvals from classification societies including CCS, DNV, ABS, LR, BV and RINA are available for applicable types and confirmed per project — no certificate is claimed for a type unless stated in its TDS or certificate scope. You can view our certification overview on the Certifications page or request project-specific documents via the contact page.

Applications

  • New building and repair of bulk carriers, tankers, container ships and passenger vessels

  • Engine room and deck machinery power supply

  • Offshore platforms, jack-up rigs and FPSO topside wiring

  • Port cranes, deck cranes and mooring equipment on quays and vessels

  • Shipyard panel builders and marine switchgear OEMs

  • Spare cable supply for ship owners, ship managers and marine stores

Why Choose Anhui Tiankang

  • Approval-aware engineering. We match the cable construction to the class notation and flag requirements of your project before production, so re-approval delays are avoided.

  • Type-tested, documented supply. Each production batch is tested to the declared standard, and test reports accompany shipment on request.

  • Flexible constructions. Core counts, cross-sections, screens and sheaths can be adapted to your cable schedule without changing the approved base type, where the class allows.

  • Direct factory communication. You work with the manufacturer's engineering and sales team, not a trading layer — TDS, samples and small trial orders are handled quickly.

  • Export logistics experience. Regular shipments to Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australian and European shipyards, with packing and marking suited to container and break-bulk transport.

Selection Guide / Buying Considerations

Before requesting a quotation, please prepare the following so we can quote the correct type the first time:

  1. Circuit function — power, control, instrumentation or communication, and the system voltage.

  2. Conductor size and core layout — e.g. 3x95+1x50, 12x2.5, or 7x1.5 screened pairs; flexible class 5 if the cable is dragged or reeled.

  3. Installation area — engine room, deck, submerged bilge areas, or enclosed passenger spaces, each with different flame and smoke requirements.

  4. Class approval requirement — specify the society (CCS, DNV, ABS, LR, BV, RINA) and whether type approval or batch inspection is needed.

  5. Mechanical environment — impact, vibration, oil exposure, and whether armour is required.

  6. Quantity and delivery port — including drum lengths, preferred marking and destination for freight planning.

Send your cable schedule or a photo of the existing cable marking, and our team will map each line to the correct construction.

FAQ

Q1: Which classification society approvals can you support? We can support type approvals from CCS, DNV, ABS, LR, BV and RINA for applicable cable types. Approval availability is confirmed per item against the certificate scope — tell us the society and cable type and we will confirm before you place the order.

Q2: Do you supply halogen-free shipboard cables for passenger vessels?Yes. We produce halogen-free, low-smoke constructions tested to IEC 60754 and IEC 61034 for enclosed and passenger areas. State the flame test category required by the class or specification.

Q3: What is the minimum order quantity and can I get a sample?MOQ depends on conductor size and construction. Samples and short trial lengths are normally available for approval before volume orders — contact us with the type and size you need.

Q4: Can you manufacture to our cable schedule instead of a catalogue type?Yes — most marine projects work from a cable schedule rather than a catalogue. Send the schedule and we will match each line to an existing type or engineer a project-specific construction, flagging any approval implications.

Q5: How do I get the TDS and test reports?Technical data sheets are available for every type; routine and type test reports are provided on request. Use the contact page to request documents for your project.
