The certificate certifies that the manufacturer meets the requirements of the approval standards and is capable of producing the listed products. Approval standards include Chapter 3 Part Four and Chapter 19 Part Eight of the CCS Rules for Classification of Sea-Going Steel Ships, IEC 60092-350:2020, IEC 60092-353:2016, IEC PAS 80005-3 for low voltage shore connection systems and T/CAS 429-2020 for shore connection cables.

Approved Cable Types

The approval covers EPR insulated low voltage ship-to-shore connection cables in the following type designations:

• ADEUR and ADEFR types (also designated CADEUR, CADEFR, CEFR, AMP) with /DA or /SA suffix

• ADEXUR and ADEXFR types (also designated CADEXUR, CADEXFR, AMP) with /DA or /SA suffix

Configurations include 1, 2 or 3 power cores from 10mm2 to 240mm2, combined with control cores from 2 to 9 cores of 1.5mm2 or 2.5mm2, auxiliary cores from 6mm2 to 120mm2, and integrated multimode fiber optic elements of 6x62.5/125μm, in a wide range of hybrid layouts for shore power, control and communication in one cable.

Type Designation Guide

Per the certificate enclosure: AD, CAD or AMP designates ship-to-shore connection cables; E designates EPR insulation; F designates polychloroprene rubber, chlorosulphonated polyethylene rubber or chlorinated polyethylene rubber sheath or inner sheath; U designates thermoplastic polyurethane; X designates a reinforced layer; R designates soft conductor construction; and N designates fiber optic core count. Trailing suffixes: DA for single cable flame retardant per IEC 60332-1-2, and SA for bunched cable flame retardant per IEC 60332-3-22:2018.

Application

Ship-to-shore connection cables, also known as shore power cables, AMP cables or cold ironing cables, connect vessels to port power supply systems so that ships at berth can shut down their generators and run on shore electricity. The IEC PAS 80005-3 standard defines general requirements for low voltage shore connection systems, and T/CAS 429-2020 defines the dedicated cable requirements for shore connection service. Hybrid constructions with power, control and fiber cores support both energy transfer and shore connection management systems.

Testing and Maintenance Requirements

Approval test reports include Anhui Tiankang reports 21DJ069301 and 21DJ069302 dated 28 December 2021, and Shanghai Intelligent Service and Technology reports TN22-0529 and TN22-0530 dated 22 February 2022. The certificate requires annual surveillance audits by CCS within three months of each anniversary of the expiry date, and unannounced audits may be carried out during the validity period. An asbestos-free declaration has been reviewed by the Society.

Production Sites

Three manufacturing addresses are declared: the Tiankang Industry Park in the Chuzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the No.58 Tiankang Road facility, and the Changanzhong Road site in Tongcheng Town, all in Tianchang, Anhui Province.
