Certificate Overview
This page provides the Certificate of Works Approval JS24PWA00212_05 issued by China Classification Society (CCS) to Anhui Tiankang (Group) Shares Co., Ltd. for shipboard diesel engine control cables with fluoroplastic insulation. The certificate is renewed from and supersedes the previous Works Approval Certificate No. JS20PWA00136_03.
-
Certificate number: JS24PWA00212_05
-
Certificate type: Certificate of Works Approval
-
Product: FEP and PVDF insulated shipboard diesel engine control and compensation cables
-
Application: Ships, diesel engine control and monitoring circuits
-
Rated voltage: 300/500V
-
Issued: 17 February 2025
-
Valid until: 29 January 2030
The certificate certifies that the manufacturer meets the requirements of Chapter 3, Part Four of the CCS Rules for Classification of Sea-Going Steel Ships and is capable of producing the listed products.
Approved Cable Types
The approval covers three fluoroplastic insulated constructions for diesel engine service:
-
FEP insulated diesel engine control cables: CKFEH9/PX type (also designated CFEPXF4), 2 to 25 cores in 0.75mm2 to 1.5mm2, maximum conductor temperature 200°C, with /DA suffix
-
FEP insulated diesel engine compensation cables: CKXFEPXF type (also designated KXT4PFR), 2 to 25 cores in 0.75mm2 to 1.5mm2, 200°C class, with /DA suffix
-
PVDF insulated diesel engine control cables: CFH3PX type (also designated CKTFRX-150), 2 to 25 cores in 0.75mm2 to 1.5mm2, 150°C class with ETFE sheath, with /DA suffix
Type Designation Guide
Per the certificate enclosure: CKF or CF designates shipboard diesel engine control cables, and CKX or KX designates diesel engine compensation cables. E, FE or T4 designate FEP insulation; H3 or TF designate PVDF insulation. H9, F4 or F designate FEP sheath; X-150 designates ETFE sheath. PX designates copper or tinned copper wire braid armour. The DA suffix designates single cable flame retardant per IEC 60332-1-2:2015.
Application
Diesel engine control and compensation cables operate in the high temperature environment of engine rooms, close to diesel engines where standard 90°C class cables cannot survive. The fluoroplastic insulation and sheath systems provide 150°C to 200°C continuous conductor temperature capability with flame retardant performance, for engine control, monitoring, alarm and thermocouple compensation circuits on main and auxiliary diesel engines.
Testing and Maintenance Requirements
Approval test reports include China National Centre for Quality Supervision and Test of Electric Wire and Cable reports CT12-2618-12 through CT12-2618-15 dated 19 September 2012. The certificate requires annual CCS surveillance audits within three months of each anniversary of the expiry date, with unannounced audits possible during the validity. An asbestos-free declaration has been reviewed by the Society.
Production Sites
Three manufacturing addresses are declared: the Tiankang Industry Park in the Chuzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the No.58 Tiankang Road facility, and the Changanzhong Road site in Tongcheng Town, all in Tianchang, Anhui Province.

For CCS classed projects, product inspection by the CCS surveyor applies after works approval.
FAQ
Q1: Which cable types are covered by CCS certificate JS24PWA00212_05?
The certificate covers FEP insulated diesel engine control and compensation cables at 200°C class and PVDF insulated control cables at 150°C class, in 2 to 25 cores of 0.75mm2 to 1.5mm2 at 300/500V.
Q2: When is this certificate valid?
The certificate was issued on 17 February 2025 and is valid until 29 January 2030, subject to annual CCS surveillance audits.
Q3: Why are fluoroplastic insulations used for diesel engine cables?
Engine room zones near diesel engines exceed the temperature rating of standard 90°C class shipboard cables. FEP supports 200°C conductor temperature and PVDF 150°C, maintaining circuit integrity in engine service.
Q4: What is the DA suffix?
DA designates single cable flame retardant performance per IEC 60332-1-2:2015.
Q5: What information is needed for a quotation?
Please send the cable type, core number and size, quantity or length, destination port and whether the project requires CCS product inspection.
