The certificate certifies that the manufacturer meets the requirements of the approval standards and is capable of producing the listed products. Approval standards include Chapter 3 Part Four of the CCS Rules for Classification of Sea-Going Steel Ships, IEC 60092-350:2020 and IEC 60092-353:2016.

Approved Cable Types and Range

EPR insulated shipboard power cables: CEPF family and CEPJ family with /SC and /NC suffixes, CEF, CEFR, CEF80 and CEF90 with /SA and /NA suffixes. Single core from 1mm2 to 240mm2, 2 core from 1mm2 to 120mm2, 3 core from 1mm2 to 185mm2, and 4 to 37 core from 1mm2 to 2.5mm2.

XLPE insulated shipboard power cables: CJ85, CJ86, CJ95, CJ96, CJPJ family, CJPF family with /SC and /NC suffixes, and CJV, CJVR, CJV80, CJV90, CJV82, CJV92 with /SA and /NA suffixes. Single core from 1mm2 to 240mm2, 2 core from 1mm2 to 120mm2, 3 core with earth from 1mm2 to 185mm2, 4 to 5 core from 1mm2 to 50mm2, and 6 to 37 core from 1mm2 to 2.5mm2.

Shipboard electrical wire: CBYJR/DC, halogen free low smoke single core wire per the certificate schedule.

Type Designation Guide

Per the certificate enclosure: C for shipboard power cables and CB for shipboard wires; J or YJ for XLPE insulation and E for EPR insulation; R for soft conductor; F for polychloroprene rubber sheath or inner sheath, V for PVC(ST2) sheath or inner sheath, PJ for cross-linked polyolefin and PF for polyolefin SHF1 type compounds. Digit 8 for tinned or plain copper wire braid, 9 for galvanized steel wire braid armour. Outer sheath digits: 0 for no outer sheath, 2 for PVC(ST2), 3 and 6 for polyolefin SHF1 type, 5 for cross-linked polyolefin. Trailing suffixes: SA for bunched flame retardant per IEC 60332-3-22, NA for bunched flame retardant with fire resistance per IEC 60331-1/2 and IEC 60332-3-22 Category A, SC for bunched flame retardant low smoke halogen free, NC for the same with fire resistance added, and DC for single cable flame retardant low smoke halogen free wire constructions.

Testing and Maintenance Requirements

Approval test reports include China National Centre for Quality Supervision and Test of Electric Wire and Cable reports CT12-2618-2/4/5/6/7 and CT12-4877-1/2/3/4 dated 5 December 2012, CT16-3471-1 to CT16-3471-4 dated 19 September 2019, Anhui Tiankang report TKJC20200028 dated 26 August 2020, and Shanghai Intelligent Service and Technology report TN20-3337 dated 15 September 2020. The certificate requires annual CCS surveillance audits within three months of each anniversary of the expiry date, with unannounced audits possible during the validity. An asbestos-free declaration has been reviewed by the Society.

Production Sites

Three manufacturing addresses are declared: the Tiankang Industry Park in the Chuzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the No.58 Tiankang Road facility, and the Changanzhong Road site in Tongcheng Town, all in Tianchang, Anhui Province.
