Approved Cable Types and Range

The certificate covers two product families with flame retardant, fire resistant and halogen free variants:

• Shipboard control cables: CKEPF, CKEPJ, CKJ and CKJPF, CKJPJ types with 85/86/95/96 and 80/90 variants, /SC or /NC suffix, 2 to 48 cores in 0.5mm2 to 2.5mm2; also CKEF with /SA or /NA suffix

• Shipboard communication cables: CHJ, CHJPF, CHJPFP and CHJPJ types with /SC or /NC suffix, in pairs, triples and quads from 1P, 1T, 1Q up to 37 pairs in 0.5mm2 to 2.5mm2; also CHJV and CHJVP types with /SA or /NA suffix

Construction per the certificate schedule: tinned copper wire or copper wire conductors, EPR or XLPE insulation, optional individual screen on wires or twisted pairs, inner sheath variants, tinned copper or galvanized steel wire braid armour, and outer sheath options including SHF1, SHF2 and ST2.

Fire and Material Performance

• Flame retardant: IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-22

• Fire resistant: IEC 60331-21 for NA and NC types

• Halogen free: IEC 60754-1/2 for SC and NC types

• Low smoke: IEC 61034-2 for SC and NC types

• Fluorine content: IEC 60684-2 for SC and NC types

Type testing was performed against IEC 60092-350, IEC 60092-360 and IEC 60092-376, with TICW test reports CT16-3473-1/2/3/4/5/7 dated 18 September 2016 and Anhui Tiankang test report 22XL11804 dated 6 February 2023.
